"However, there [have] been some recent rumors that I am displeased with the idea that Michael's children are accepting the award on my son's behalf. On the contrary, I am very proud of my grandchildren. Katherine and I are the ones that [have] initiated their participation."

"I thank the Recording Academy for their honor and know that Michael would have been very pleased to receive such recognition," Joe Jackson continued. "I am very proud of my family and I will continue to seek justice for my son."

they gave 3 technical awards and now giving 3 trustee awards. they are not at performer awards yet. no talk or sighting about MJ's kids. Just on the red carpet they mentioned that Frank Dileo was there and talked about tomorrows tribute to MJ.

He is saying he initiated their participating basically taking the credit for it. The first reports Joe and Oxman sent out stated Joe was pissed that they were participating as the Grammy's didn't consult him and ask for his permission first.

I know some of you may be upset about this but maybe the kids wanted to do this. You know Michael would support them even if he wouldn't care for it.
Try to think though this may be healing for them.
