Why the heck is everyone bickering over a few photos of Michael? Good grief leave him alone and just be thankful you had a chance to see them. One would think the fans were the tabloids by the way we criticize the one we claim to adore...

meanwhile I got the impression our discussion should stop at this point. I'm the one who was at first rather taken aback when I saw SOME pictures, not the pictures in the whole. But now I think we have exchanged words enough. And the Media isn't as bad as I have thought, because even TMZ has only some funny words about it (don't dare to post it, but it is really harmless!)

You think so? I found the thread very stimulating. There are excellent posts and none of the posters are slamming other members. There is honest disagreement and interesting discussion. It turned out to be a very interesting topic and it does all relate.

yeah it did when people start bringing in every negative thing they can think to say as reason for supporting their opinion of the current photos.

I think Michael does this kind of stuff to get people talking about him.

But you have to ask whether or not he dresses like this to get attention or because he genuinely thinks he looks good or maybe he just doesn't care?

I mean, he may aswell not put on a disguise because everyone expects a nutty outfit like that from Michael Jackson.

If he went out normally in public which I know he can do...this thread wouldn't have gotten so heated.

Have to admit though, if I saw him or anyone else in the street dressed like that I'd probably have to laugh at them and think they were crazy!

Why is it so important for Michael Jackson to earn the respect of those that are hateful? What's the reward?

Hateful people are hateful because they love being that way. Maybe they are the ones that need to change. Being hateful speeds up the aging process. I wonder if they know this? If they knew? They would stop.

Kindness = The Fountain of Youth

Those that age slowly usually are not hateful people.

Those that age quickly usually are.

When they go around being hateful just for the hell of it, they end up sucking the life out of themselves.

Hey, the choice is theirs if they want to keep up the cycle. The mirror will let them know they are misusing their energy.

MJ's look, indeed states there is no hate in him.

and those keeping the hate inside them quiet won't change a thing. if the hate is in the person, the same effect still holds.

I know I'm the minority but I'm going to say it anyway - I don't like the pictures. I love him but I don't understand why he's doing these things over and over again his mind is like an endless puzzle to me. everytime I hear there are new pictures of him I'm thinking what is he wearing is he doing it again. I can see why he would cover his face but why the rest? it was fun in the beggining but now I'm a a little lost as to why he's doing this over and over again...no matter what these things don't change my opinion of him but I wish I could understand

But I believe most people think that if they conform well enough they will be safe from criticism and condemnation. You can see that is how they live their own lives. Why wouldn't people apply the same logic to Michael's situation? Now I happen to believe the opposite. The bullies are there regardless and by capitulating you only incourage them and create your own prison without gaining any protection.

I read once that people who constantly deny themselves their own wishes (the majority) in order to 'conform' and be the good child get jealous of those who follow their own heart and mind. That leads to a sort of herd response to the outlier. So that is the negative motive but the positive one is you would want to protect the other herd member from harm to the extent you care about them. If you see the 'world out there' as cruel, and rightly so, you want to pull people you consider your own in where it is safe.

Am I making sense? I know what I am trying to say, just don't know if I said it clearly. From the frame of reference that if you conform you will be safe it would be seen as Michael bringing on his own troubles by not conforming. I say each time he conformed and something bad was said it would be blamed on his not conforming 'enough'.

eternity most people are just expressing opinions and that is cool... my post you intially responded to was in reaction to a previous post that was so wrong and i'm not going to restate what was said as i hope it dies a few pages back where it began.

Right. But the real root of the problem lies in people's fear of the unknown and in their inability to accept what isn't taught to them as correct. If people weren't so afraid of difference and of change and of those things which aren't burnt on to their concsious and subconcsious as law, then there wouldn't be any problem at all with what Michael does or doesn't do. On a larger scale, there wouldn't be any war either, or racism, or sexism, or prejudice against alternative thought process, etc...

I agree. There is danger in venturing outside of 'the norm' but for those who have done it and continue to do so it would seem the reward is worth the risk. If you have never ventured out the danger will seem a lot greater than it is. I think the fear is of themselves venturing out and self doubts.

Alright, I am no Mod, but you do not have to be to know what is PC. This is a forum devoted to the appreciation of Michael Jackson and not to have petty arguments that foster hate and all around bad feelings. Take your conversations elsewhere or better yet just drop it.

I thought MJ fans were better than hate, just look at his legions of fans from all around the world.

Stuff like this always happens, especially with US/Europe fans and how everyone always states that Michael does not like America and we will never get a tour from him. I am sick of it.

Well... I'm disgusted, and it looks like peeps were right.... no matter how many times I post it, things just never sink in.

I'm disappointed in our longer serving members who would rather risk getting an infraction or some mod que time as opposed to just reporting posts they know need reporting..

I've deleted over 75+ posts of off-topic bickering and nastiness.

anyway this thread is staying closed until I've finished cleaning and handing out the necessary infractions etc.... and don't go acting all shocked when you get an infraction like you didn't know what was going on etc...


take this time to get outside and clear your heads or something....

Okay, first off, some housekeeping. This thread has been cleaned. If this thread goes off again, mods are instructed to permanently close it.​

I don't know why this has to be said over and over again, but perhaps those who persist in being bullies and stretching the rules will understand better with infractions and mod ques which are coming.

I'm sorry to be a scrooge, but my goodness people. This is just over the top. 28 pages of mostly bickering and fussing over members OPINIONS ABOUT WHAT MICHAEL JACKSON IS WEARING.

Not good. Especially since at least 2 MJJC staff members have warned members to cut it out.

I think there are some things that everyone needs to understand and I will also put this in a separate, special thread, because we have had complaints from many members about not feeling comfortable with expressing their opinions without being attacked by other members who don't want to read or don't want others to say things that they don't agree with.

For now, for the purposes of this particular thread, any member posting discussions attacking other members for their opinions will receive infractions. If you aren't sure about what you want to say, then don't type it.

My opinion about these pictures:

1. First and foremost, I really don't care what MJ wears.

2. The clothing is okay.

3. The clothing does not represent his religious standing.

4. I HATE the face coverings. Always have and always will.

I fully agree. Among other things, people get bitter when they try to shape themselves into something they are not. In doing so they miss the chance to fully develop their true tallents and being and to experience the joy of doing so.

People who are truly happy about their own lives are willing to allow others the same opportunity. Michael's smile is that of someone being true to themself. That is its true beauty and why it reaches so many people.
